Saccade

Saccade are a Dublin-based explosion of power-infused rock riffs coupled with catchy pop sensibility. 

Steve (vocals/guitar), Jay (lead guitar), and Ed (drums/piano) and Neil (Bass) prove that when four independently talented musicians cross paths, the result can be mind blowing. Their infectious choruses are laden with hooks that will have even the least likely toe-tapper dancing along. With smart lyrics and flawless arrangements, they have received a great deal of praise and support from the Irish media and have been welcomed by venues around the country.

In 2007 they released their EP ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’. Though it was self-produced and self-engineered, the quality was so impressive that it landed them support slots with some of Ireland’s top up-and-coming acts including The Flaws, Delorentos, and Lir.

In 2008 they embarked on their first all-Ireland tour (including Northern Ireland) supporting such high-profile Irish acts asThe Flaws, The Coronas and Ham Sandwich. The year also saw them make it to the Semi-Final round of the ‘Deis Roc’ competition on TG4 and make their TV debut. Download.ie selected their track ‘Wastin My Time’ to be one of 15 tracks released on Ireland’s first ever USB album, released in August.

To round out a solid year, Saccade released their first single ‘Courtesy Class’ in September 08 and then some time off was taken as weddings, babies came along and some time to write the album was had.

Come February 09 the band took part in an acoustic tour of Ireland and played a number of gigs with various artists. To add to this the band were added to the CEOL 09 album and were also asked to preform at the launch of the album which went into the Irish album charts at number 5.

Their debut album FORCE OF HABIT released on October 7^th is picking up quality airplay and great reviews. Download of the album is available at Bandcamp.com
