Mocrac

Five piece Dublin based Mocrac formed to promote the self-released album Cash Is King, which was recorded by Mocrac main man Maurice Ferriter (songwriter / keys / vocals) with a mixture of guest vocalists and musicians. Such was the response to the initial recordings the band was formed to promote the album, and undertaking some serious rehearsal, the creative potential of the band came to the fore. As Mocrac gigged more and became comfortable with the Cash Is King material, their own sound developed and new tunes were added to the setlist. Wanting to re-release the album with more of the band’s identity, the five returned to Liam Mulvaney in Asylum Studios to re-record some vocals and guitar bits and finish off a few undeveloped ideas and maybe a new song or two. However, as many new songs emerged the original album began to be totally revamped, with not just new vocals, guitar bits and beats, but several new songs as well. The eponymously titled revamped album is now available on line, and gets it’s physical release in Autumn 07.  Mocrac are Maurice Ferriter (keys /  vocals), Conleth Kavanagh (Drums) Stuey t Doyle (Guitar & vocals) Aine de Siun (Vocals & guitar)  Donnchadh Mac Aogain (Bass)
