Kaught At The Kampus

Kaught At The Kampus

Kaught At The Kampus features the original line-ups of Nun Attax, MicroDisney, Mean Features and Urban Blitz recorded live in August 1980 at The Downtown Kampus Cork. These early seminal recordings capture the essence of what was at the time the most vibrant and progressive music scene in Ireland. Housed in the old Arcadia ballroom in Cork City, The Arc as it affectionately became known was a pivotal part of the Irish rock circuit and provided the vital Saturday night slot to foreign touring bands as well as the leading Irish bands of the time. This recording featured the guys who were the first punters at the gig and who then went on to form their own bands and who were regularly engaged to play support to the likes of U2, The Radiators from Space, etc.

Nun Attax who later morphed into Five Go Down To The Sea have three songs featured, Mean Features ( lead man Micky Lynch of Stump fame ) have one song, MicroDisney - the original line-up - have one song and Urban Blitz one song.
