It’s safe to say that 2013 has been a big year for Keith Moss.
An IMRO award-winning ‘Young Songwriter of the Year’ Keith Moss, has performed much-vaunted gigs across Ireland and the UK, sharing stages with Nanu Nanu, Oliver Cole, Cat Dowling, Mumblin’ Deaf Ro, Elevens, The Statics and label-mates Buffalo Sunn.
These performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
Inside Entertainment (Cork): An instinctive showmanship and genuine musical talent that has been earning serious kudos… A veritable well of creativity.
Hot Pess: A thoughtful, intelligent writer of psychedelic pop, he’s a lithe performer of real potential…A voice to listen out for in the future.
Dublin Concerts.ie: Called back for more songs after leaving the stage, they played their single again to a roaring crowd, ending with Keith showing his appreciation of his supporting acts and highly talented band members.
With songwriting and production credits from Marc Aubele of NanuNanu, Keith released his debut album ‘What Eludes You Moves’ You through Reekus Records in July 2013.
Listen to the singles The War Outside Our Door and hear how he combines brilliant pop songwriting with incisive social commentary, or Torture In Paradise, where he frames bleak yet wryly humorous lyrical content with sweet and alluring melodies.
It’s a wonderful, unique listen.
Time Out: Funny and heartbreaking, angry and uplifting. The legacy of John Otway and Wreckless Eric lives on in this huge young talent.
The Ticket: Akin to a one-man acoustic Beatles.
Hot Press: An utterly-mesmerising amalgam of Nick Drake and a stoned ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic. The songs host a sublime pop sensibility… 8/10.
The Devil Has The Best Tuna (UK music blog) : Positively drips with passion and emotion.
Nessymon.com: A great indication of what a varied musician Moss is.
Noise:A neat slice of jangly baroque pop.
Jinx Lennon: An original in a sea of shite.
Barry Gruff: Something of a punk poet, Moss’s music is a curious work of rare beauty which positively drips with passion and emotion.
The album was released to a sold-out headline show in Whelan’s, that was fantastically received.
In September 2013, Reekus Records proudly released the single Fat Men Have To Eat, which picked up a lot of airplay on national radio.
It’s an absolute anthem.
